This weekend has been quite eventful. My very, super, best, good, beloved friend came to visit with me for the weekend. We have been friends now for twelve years. She put up with me while I was dating Bryan, she always remembers my birthday, & she always says exactly what I need to hear! She is my friend Kari. We had a ball shopping, making jewelry, shopping, reminiscing, shopping, laughing, & most of all just talking. It is her birthday today so here is a big

Hopefully you made it home alright (you know, given your dream and the lack of fortune in your fortune cookie). I had a load of fun and I can't wait to get together again!
The other eventful thing this weekend is our new windows. That's right. New triple pane, double low e vinyl windows. Everywhere. We have lived in our house for just over four years now and lived through four winters in this house and every year it is the same thing. You either freeze and keep the thermostat down so you can afford the heating bill or you are still pretty chilly even though you turned up the thermostat and pay barrels of money to the gas company. But not anymore! Well, I guess heating a home is always an expensive endeavour, but at least this year we will actually be warm. Hooray for old friends and new windows!
