Fly Catching Olympics

Growing up fly catching was somewhat of a sport in our house. I used to watch my older siblings and Dad catch flies and I was always amazed. Those silly things were so fast, I wondered how they were able to get them. You may be thinking to yourself, "Why on Earth would you want to catch a fly with your hands?" I'm sorry, I don't have a answer for you other than we must have gotten bored a lot. I never did learn how to catch them with the Washburn Metod of catching flies. It took my sister-in-law Missy to teach me the Hatch Method. (Aparently fly catching must be a big family thing.) The Hatch Method is really easy. You just take your two hands and bring them out in front of you, palms facing eachother and about 5 or 6 inches apart. Slowly bring your hands about 3 inches above unsuspecting victim. For some reason this doesn't usually scare them away. Then simply clap your hands together. Works almost everytime.
Now that I have mastered the art of fly catching I am ready to compete in the long talked about Washburn Family Fly Catching Olympics. Bring it on!
