The Beast

So a while back Bryan was flexing his muscles at the kids and pointing at his biceps calling it "THE BEAST" and we later found out that what Erik took this to mean is that armpit hair is called "The Beast". Which in and of it self is pretty funny. Well, a few days ago something happened that I hope will NEVER happen again. I was having one of those moments, that parents just treasure, with Erik. We were sitting on the rocker snuggling and just enjoying each other when suddenly I did a big arms stretched yawn. Erik looks at me and says, "Mom? YOU have "The Beast"?" I look over at my *cough* armpit and die. I admit it... it had been a while since I had shaved my pitties. You know you have ALL done it. Don't kid yourself. And if you haven't... well, that's just amazing. Anyway, that definitely woke me up a little. I definitely need to take just about two minutes more for myself and those around me to tame "The Beast" more often. So here I am in front of all of you proclaiming that I will never let anything grow under my arms that can be, in any way, construed as a beast!

Oh mercy me. My daughter once drew a portrait of me entitled, "Mom in her underwear with hairy legs and armpits". The hair looked like long luxurious fringe that could easily blow in the wind.

That is HILARIOUS! Isn't it wonderful how kids teach and humble us on a regular basis? You're not a good Mom unless you get hairy occasionally!

Oh, That is so funny! I remember when Jake thought armpit hair was SO Cool. He couldn't wait for the day that he got his. He is wondering where you got that pic of him flexing? lol
