In the Dog House

This morning Erik had the grossest diaper I have seen in quite some time. I am talking soaked to the bone and poop everywhere! Definately bath worthy. So I carried Erik up the stairs holding him out in front of me so that I wouldn't get contaminated. When we arrived at the tub he was promptly striped down and washed off. Clothes thrown in the wash and diaper down to the trash. So as you know I have recently learned to knit. I also have started a project that is going to take some time and already have been working on for a month. I throw the diaper in the trash, look out of the french doors in my living room and see my project strewn across the yard. Apparently my kids don't think that shutting the door is important so Duke -my hubby's dog- got a hold of the blanket, dragged it outside and he is standing there, blanket in mouth, looking at like "What's the matter?" Can I just say it's a good thing that I don't know how to shoot a shotgun!

So I get the blanket in and the dog out, check over my project and luckily the blanket is still in tact and Duke lives to see another day.

Oh wow! I am glad to hear that the blanket survived. Sounds like you definitely have your hands full!

At least your anger was geared towards the dog and not the kids or the husbad (since it IS his dog), sometimes it is easier to get mad at someone who cares....
